Fly Fishing Gear Basics – Learn about rods, reels, boots, waders, and more. You’ll get to compare fast-action vs. slow-action fly rods so you can feel the difference and understand which setup works best for you.

Knots & Rigging – In our classroom, we’ll teach you the essential fly fishing knots and how to properly rig your rod for different fishing situations.

Finding Fish – Understand where fish live and the basics of how to approach and fish to them effectively.

Casting Instruction – Head outside with our Certified Instructor for hands-on casting lessons, including Overhand and Roll casting.

Landing Fish – Learn proper techniques for bringing fish in safely and successfully

Want to learn how to tie your own flies and take your fly fishing to the next level? Our 5-week Fly Tying Course is designed to give beginners the skills and confidence to start tying flies at home.

What You’ll Learn:

Weekly Fly Patterns – Each two-hour session focuses on a new fly pattern, carefully selected to teach you the most important tying techniques.

Step-by-Step Instruction – Start with beginner-friendly patterns and progress to more advanced techniques by the end of the course.

Skills for Any Pattern – By tying five essential flies, you’ll gain the foundational knowledge to tackle almost any fly pattern on your own.

Everyone has room to improve their casting—and we’re here to help! Whether you’re brand new to fly fishing or looking to fine-tune your technique, our casting classes are designed to make you a more confident and effective angler.

Class Options:
Single-Hand Casting Lessons – Perfect for beginners and anglers wanting to improve accuracy, distance, and presentation.

Two-Hand / Spey Casting Lessons – Learn the art of Spey casting for larger rivers and longer presentations.

Advanced Two-Hand / Spey Casting Lessons – Instruction is handled by Rick Williams.  Rick is an FFI Master Instructor for both Single-Hand and Two-Hand disciplines and teaches by appointment.
