This is an ultra-strong octopus style hook. In larger sizes it’s suitable for stinger hooks on predatory fish trace rigs and flies, while in the smaller sizes suitable for trailing hooks on steelhead and trout spey style shank flies. This black nickel version gives a stealthy subtle look to the flies it is used on.
