Nano Silk Ultra 30D 18/0 is considered professional-level, being the finest thread in the range. At 30 denier (18/0), it is extremely fine while still offering incredible strength. In fact, it is 10 times stronger than steel of the same diameter. It is perfectly suited for flies sized 16 to 32 and can even be split further for easier dubbing application.

Designed for micro flies down to size 32, Nano Silk Ultra 30D is stronger than 8/0 polyester thread while being less than 1/20th of the diameter. This makes it ideal for any fly where you want your thread to remain virtually invisible.

Pro Tips

1. Rotate anti-clockwise to untwist the thread so it lays perfectly flat. With just 2–3 light wraps over foam, you can secure materials that would normally cut easily.

2. Use white Nano Silk and color the final 4 inches (100mm) for highly visible heads.
